It's been far too long since I've been on the old blog – again – but what better reason to pick up the old quill than the arrival of the World Cup? I love this event... proper, meaningful football away from the tedious merry-go-round of the over-hyped Premier League. I love all the fans in their kaleidoscopic colours; I love the atmosphere, and – most of all – I love the games themselves... the best in the world pitting their skills and their wits against one another for the sake of national pride and glory.
Fußball ist wunderbar - bring on the beautiful game!
